North Village rose from the embers of the Seacoast Last Waltz Band, sparked by a post-rehearsal conversation between singer–songwriter Martin England and bassist Greg Glasson about carrying their creative spark into something new. What began as an idea quickly grew into a full-fledged band when drummer Rick Habib and keyboardist Jay Cohen came aboard in the spring of 2022, followed by guitarist Marc Vachon Jr. in 2023.

Rooted in the emotional terrain of love, loss, and the long road between them, North Village’s songs burn with honesty yet shimmer with resilience and joy. Their sound stretches from inspired, free-flowing jams to tightly woven melodic landscapes—drawing from the rich traditions of The Band, The Allman Brothers, Uncle Tupelo, John Prine, and the Grateful Dead, while carving out a distinct voice all their own.

In July 2025, North Village released their debut album, a powerful introduction that captures the spirit of a band forged in reinvention and driven by the thrill of musical community.
